Eczema also called as dermatitis, is a group of skin disorders. Atopic eczema, allergic contact dermatitis, irritant contact dermatitis, infantile seborrhoeic eczema, adult seborrhoeic eczema, varicose eczema and discoid eczema are different types of eczema. Atopic dermatitis is the most common type of eczema. It mainly occurs among infants and small children. Besides these there is also dyshidrotic eczema that is prominent in warm weather and nummular eczema that affects people during the winters. These could affect any part of the body especially hands, feet and chest areas. In more than 90% of cases, eczema is found to occur in children below 5 years of age. It is a non contagious disease.

Eczema Symptoms:

Main symptoms of eczema are itching, redness on skin, dry and flaky skin, Itchy blisters, Inflammation on skin, little bumps on forehead, neck and cheek, rough and thickened skin. Inflamed areas that may bleed when scratched or ooze watery fluids. Signs of eczema are more severe on the folds. There are several types of eczema including Atopic Eczema, Xerotic eczema, and Seborrheic dermatitis.

Eczema Causes:

Heredity

Eczema is measured to be hereditary. Studies reveal that a person is prone to eczema if his family has a history of directly linked conditions like hay fever and asthma.

Origin of aggarvation

Irritants like smoke, chemicals, detergents, solvents and so on, could aggravate eczema. Even weather circumstances could aggravate the condition. Extreme stress, heat and emotional stress also aggravates the symptoms of eczema.

Other Reasons

Cause of eczema depends upon the kind of eczema the person is suffering from. From time to time blood circulation problem in the leg can also cause eczema. Lack of vitamin B6 causes eczema.

Home Remedies for Eczema:

  • A light mudpack applied over the place of eczema is very beneficiary.
  • Apply the fine paste of 1 tsp camphor and 1-teaspoon sandalwood on the affected eczema areas.
  • The effective remedy for Eczema is to make a fine paste by adding 1 tbls of turmeric powder and 1 tbls of bitter neem leaves and applying this paste on affected areas.
  • Apply spearmint leaf juice to Eczema affected areas. It proved beneficiary.
  • Mash almond leaves in water and apply on the area, it will also help in the eczema treatment.
  • Papaya seeds mashed and applied on areas prevent itching of the skin suffering from eczema.
  • Boil 25 grams of Neem Tree bark and mango bark in one liter of water. Allow the vapor to foment the affected part. After the fomentation, the affected part should be anointed with ghee.
  • An effective Eczema home remedy is called when you add an equal quantity of carrot juice and spinach juice and apply it on the affected eczema area.
  • Apply the paste of nutmeg slowly rubbing it on smooth stone with little water.
  • Pour 2 cups of colloidal oatmeal into a tub of lukewarm water and bath with this water properly.
  • Boil 25 grams of Babul Tree bark and mango bark in onw liter of water. Allow the vapor to foment the affected part. After the fomentation, the affected part should be anointed with ghee.
  • Drink tomato juice every day, it will cure the symptoms in a few days.
  • Put natural vitamin E on the affected skin area, it will relieve you of itching.
  • Diet to avoid Eczema:

    Diet not at all causes eczema. Food only causes allergies and not cause eczema. It is the genes of a human being that cause eczema. If you are allergic or susceptible to certain foods then try avoiding them, because they can trigger eczema. Dairy products, eggs, nuts, preservatives and citrus fruits are more expected to trigger eczema.

    Forever avoid substances you are allergic to. Wear mostly cotton clothes, as they do not irritate your itchy skin. Exposure to water for a long time can direct to skin dryness. Use good class moisturizer.
